Date night is a special time for you and your partner to connect and enjoy each other’s company without any distractions. You deserve a lovely dining experience, and each of these restaurants delivers exceptional service and delicious food. Keep reading for our list of 5 romantic places to eat in St. George for date night:

1. The Painted Pony Restaurant

Located in the heart of historic downtown St. George, The Painted Pony Restaurant is open 7 days a week for dinner, beginning at 4 PM. Its Southwest-inspired atmosphere, fresh flavors, and extensive wine list are just a few of the things that make this restaurant unique. Choose from starters such as an heirloom tomato tart made with a herb galette, lemon-basil ricotta, tomato jam, and arugula, or the decadent bacon-wrapped almond stuffed dates. Main dishes include nearly every type of protein, from duck breast to short ribs, steak, grilled ahi tuna, chicken, and pork chops. Vegetarians are not forgotten at The Painted Pony– several options will have your mouth watering just from the description. For example, the sweet corn ravioli contains fire-roasted corn, alla checca, poblano coulis, and mushroom saute!

2. Cliffside Restaurant

There’s no better way to enjoy a meal than from Cliffside’s incredible indoor and outdoor dining areas! We recommend trying a tried and true favorite– creamy clam chowder with potatoes, clams, bacon, and chives. Other incredible dishes include chili-glazed salmon, Cajun chicken penne, and maple rosemary grilled chicken. The dessert menu is quite extensive, with options like a cheesecake with passion fruit puree, raspberry coulis, mascarpone mousse, and fresh berries, a rich double chocolate molten cake with vanilla ice cream, berries, and a house-made chocolate sauce, and many more amazing desserts!

3. Cappaletti’s Restaurant

Open for dinner at 5 PM Tuesday through Saturday, Cappaletti’s Restaurant is the place to go for authentic Italian cuisine. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, from fresh salads and soups to pasta and seafood. We recommend starting with the calamari or caprese bruschetta before digging into a plate of seafood linguini or mushroom bolognese. You can expect friendly staff and a tight-knit local atmosphere at Cappaletti’s!

4. Anasazi Steakhouse

Whether you like ribeye, filet, sirloin, NY strip, or Porterhouse steak, you’ll get the exact cut cooked to your idea of perfection! And for dessert, enjoy a chocolate fondue with cheesecake, rice krispie treats, marshmallows, cream puffs, pretzels, and assorted fresh fruits. That’s what we call an ultimate date night treat!

5. Wood Ash Rye

Wood Ashe Rye is a beautiful cocktail lounge and restaurant that serves dinner 7 days a week. Their unique menu features a rotation of shareable entrees and small plates, from local meats to responsibly sourced seafood. An example of an entree is the beef wellington, 10 ounces of prime dry-aged beef with foraged mushrooms, black truffles, demi-glace, crispy prosciutto, puff pastry, and chives. Two side dishes we love are the broken crispy fingerlings potatoes with pork belly, jalapeno crema, chipotle aioli, chorizo oil, and pepper jack cheese, and the brussel sprouts with a mustard cherry vinaigrette, dried Utah cherries, bacon, blue cheese, and a sambal sauce.

These places to eat in St. George are just the beginning of all the incredible dining options – you’ll just have to keep visiting to try all of them!
